20th round of the 2019/20 “TA Stock Exchange” League: Bnei Yehuda hosted Maccabi Haifa at Bloomfield. Maccabi arrived at the match after three consecutive wins, two of them at the league, after beating Ness Ziona 4:0 on the last league fixture. Prior to the match Marco Balbul’s players were located in the second place at the league with 43 points. On the other hand, the orange rivals were located in the 9th place prior to the match with 24 points and after a 1:0 win at their last fixture against Hapoel Kfar Saba.
Maccabi’s line-up: Cohen, Mabouka, Sainsbury, Arad, Menachem, Lavi (c), Ashkenazi, Wildschut, Chery, Sallallich, Rukavytsya.
Kick off
14’ Mabouka receives the ball on the right flank and delivers a great cross towards Chery who heads the ball, but Zubas denies it.
19’ Chery crosses the ball from the left side with his right foot, Rukavytsya can’t get to the ball but Maccabi receives a corner kick.
26’ Arad sends a long ball towards Wildschut who storms down the left wing and crosses it into the box. Chery gets to the ball and shoots, but the keeper blocks the attempt.
27’ Sun Menachem receives the ball from Wildschut on the left side, crosses it strongly in to the box. Baltaxa tries to clear the ball but scores into his own net, 0:1 for Maccabi!
30’ Once again Wildschut has the ball on the left flank and he passes it to Menachem who passes it to Rukavytsya who shoots, but the local defense clears the ball.
31’ What a brilliant attack by Maccabi! Chery provides an incisive pass; Rukavytsya spread his legs and lets the ball pass through to Ashkenazi who shoots and scores! 0:2 for Maccabi!
45’+1’ End of the first half. Maccabi leads 0:2.
Second half
50’ Chery gets the ball after a short corner and passes it to Sainsbury who shoots from inside the box, the ball is deflected. Sallallich is first to the rebound but his shot misses the target.
59’ Maccabi goes on a counter attack. Chery passes the ball to Wildschut who passes by his defender and shoots with his right foot straight into the keepers hands.
71’ Chery receives the ball from Rukavytsya, advances a few steps and shoots from 25 meters, the ball goes flying above the crossbar.
72’ Substitution for Maccabi: Maxim Plakuschenko in, Sintayehu Sallallich out.
82’ Ariel Lazmi narrows the score. 1:2 for Maccabi.
85’ Substitution for Maccabi: Muhammad Awad in, Yanic Wildschut out.
88’ Rukavytsya gets control on the ball in the middle of the pitch, advances a few meters and shoots with his left foot from 20 meters, the ball hits the post and goes outside.
90’+2’ Cohen sends a long ball towards Plakuschenko who heads the ball to Rukavytsya, the latter storms into the box and shoots the ball into the top corner! 1:3 for Maccabi.
