22^nd round of the 2019/20 “TA Stock Exchange” League: Maccabi Haifa hosted Hapoel Tel Aviv at Sammy Ofer. Maccabi wanted to return to the winning streak after the 0:1 loss to Hapoel Kfar Saba. The Greens arrived at the match from the second place on the league with 46 points. On the other hand, the opponents from Tel Aviv, coached by Nir Klinger, were in the 5^th place prior to the match with 29 points. Hapoel Tel Aviv arrived at the match after a 0:1 loss at their last fixture against Hapoel Haifa.
