25th round of the 2019/20 “TA Stock Exchange” League: FC Ashdod hosted Maccabi Haifa. Maccabi arrived at the match from the second place at the league with 52 points and a week after the 1:0 win against Hapoel Hadera. On the other hand, Ran Ben Shimon’s side was located on the 10th place prior to the match with 28 points and arrived after winning their last fixture against Hapoel Kfar Saba 3:1.

Kick off
5’ A free kick by Chery, from the left edge of the box, is barely denied by the keeper. Maccabi gets a corner kick.
7’ Chery sends Wildschut down the left wing, the Dutch crosses the ball to the center, but Rukavytsya sends the ball above the crossbar.
13’ Wildschut receives the ball at the left flank, passes by his defender and shoots with his right foot, the ball goes above the target.
23’ Chery provides a great incisive pass towards Rukavytsya who storms into the box, shoots and scores! 0:1 for Maccabi!
28’ A counter attack by Ashdod ends with a goal by Yehezkel, 1:1.
42’ A lovely double pass between Sallallich and Mabouka ends when the latter tries to cross the ball, but the attempt is blocked for a corner kick.
43’ Chery shoots from 25 meters, the ball goes flying above the crossbar.

Second half
49’ Wildschut breaks through the left flank, cuts into the middle and shoots powerfully with his right foot, Mishpati deflects it for another corner.
53’ Chery receives the ball in the center of the pitch and sends a long pass to Wildschut who scores! 1:2 for Maccabi.
