In Matchday 23 of the Israeli Premier League, the Greens travelled north to Acre to face Bnei Sakhnin. The match was played under strong winds and steady rain.
 
The match began as each side looked to keep possession and find their rhythm in the harsh weather conditions. In the 5^th minute, the Greens had their first opportunity of the match when Sallallich found Rukavytsya in the box only meters out, but the Australian could not get connect cleanly on the shot. In the 23^rd minute, Bnei Sakhnin went ahead with a goal from Shlomi Azulay. The striker was left all alone at the back post and was able to the put his header past Omri Glazer. The home side kept pressuring, but the Greens went into the break down 1:0.
 

In the opening minutes of the second half, the Greens looked to get back into the match. Omri Ben Harush had a shot from 20 meters out, Kandil put the rebound back in front of goal, but Roi Kehat was unable to beat the goalkeeper on the follow up and the ball went out for a corner. In the 56^th minute, Gal Alberman found Roi Kehat in the box, but the midfielder was unable to get his header down, and the ball went over the goal. In the 62^nd minute, Shlomi Azulay had a free kick from 25 meters out from Kandil’s goal. The ensuing shot hit off the post for a goal kick, just missing the mark. In the 73^rd minute, Azulay had another opportunity with a free kick just outside the box. The midfielder opted to play a dangerous ball across the goal, but the Greens were unable to get on the end of the cross. In the 79^th minute, Kandil came up with another big save, denying a header from Klaus. All of the opportunities in the second half were not enough, and the Greens lost 1:0 to Bnei Sakhnin.
