Fred Rutten’s side entered Matchday 25 of the Israeli Premier League against Hapoel Haifa, only days after facing the same side in the State Cup. The Greens looked to grab important points against their cross-town rivals.
In the 8th minute, Mabouka took a ball down on his chest and then swung in a cross from the flank. The Hapoel defense was able to clear the danger. To begin the second half, Yonatan Levi replaced Omri Ben Harush for the Greens. In the 52nd minute, Yonatan Levi put a dangerous ball into the box from the left flank, but Azulay was unable to get strong shot on goal. In the 55th minute, Tomas scored the second goal of the match to give Hapoel the 2:0 advantage. In the 56th minute, Ofir Mizrachi replaced Kostadinov in Maccabi’s second change of the match. In the 64th minute, Turgeman scored the third goal of the match. The third and final change of the match came in the 70th minute, as Awad replaced Sallallich. The match ended in a 3:0 win for Hapoel Haifa.
