The first derby of this season ended 3:1 for Hapoel. Prior to the match the new club ambassadors were introduced in front of a full stadium. During the first half Hapoel scored twice in five minutes with goals from Vermouth and Azubel. At the beginning of the second half Eli Guttmann made some changes but Vermouth scored another goal to give Hapoel a 3:0 lead. Tamas narrowed the score line with an own goal at the 72nd minute which sets the final score. Rukavytsya had a great opportunity to shrink the result with a penalty but his shot was stopped by Setkus.
On Tuesday the team will encounter Bnei Sakhnin in an away match.

4' Soumah shoots from outside the box, Setkus sends the ball behind the line to award Maccabi a corner kick.
14' Zamir and Sjostedt complete a double-pass which ends with the ball reaching Azubel that from inside of the penalty box shoots to the far corner and scores to Haimov's net.
22' Vermouth takes advantage of a misunderstanding in Maccabi's defense and after a one on one with Haimov he gives Hapoel a 0:2 lead.
35' Sallallich passes the ball to Mabouka who finds Soumah inside the box, but the latter shoots from seven meters high above the crossbar.

Second Half

46' Double substitution for Maccabi at the beginning of the second half: Amit Zenati and Roi Kehat replaced Sintayehu Sallallich and Seydouba Soumah.
48' Awad goes for his first opportunity from 20 meters but the ball goes straight to Setkus hands.
49' Rukavytsya shoots from inside the box but misses the target.
51' Maccabi's pressure continues with a shot by Awad that hits the crossbar.
55' Vermouth shoots from outside the box and increases Hapoel's lead, 0:3
58' Substitution for Maccabi: Etienne Reijnen out, Shlomi Azulay in.
63' Azulay shoots from 20 meters, Setkus blocks it.
67' Mabouka crosses the ball towards Rukavytsya but his header misses the target slightly.
70' After a jumble in Hapoel's penalty area Tamas sticks the ball into his own goal and narrows the score, 1:3.
81' Rukavytsya was fouled inside the box and also was the one to take the penalty shot. Rukavytsya shoots to Setkus's left corner but the keeper denies the ball.
