Maccabi successfully passed the eighth round of the national cup and qualified to the last sixteenth round. The team hosted Hapoel Marmorek from the second division and didn't face any difficulties. 
Marco Balbul made his debut as the new manager of Maccabi Haifa, Ayid Habshi was absent from the match for personal reasons. Sallallich needed just 3 minutes into the match to put Maccabi in front and by the end of the first half it was a 4 goal lead. The second half started the same way as the first one ended, with a goal by Azulay. Maccabi kept attacking until the final whistle but didn’t succeed to score more goals. The next fixture in Japanika League will be held on Wednesday and the team will play an away match against Ashdod.
