Beitar Jerusalem beats Maccabi Haifa

29,386 spectators came to "Sammy Ofer" stadium and provided an electrifying atmosphere. The team from the Carmel came to the game to maintain the team's positive momentum gain three games in a row without a loss.  Roni Levy has made ??several changes in the starting lineup by placing Itai Schechter at the right wing, Ismail Ryan at the midfield and the young defender, Aeid Habashi, in his debut appearance for the greens in this league, at the center of the defense line alongside Dekel Keinan.

The first minutes of the first half took place in midfield, both teams displayed a tough game in their attempt to prevent orderly ball passing. 11 minutes into the game, Beitar Jerusalem was the first to reach a scoring opportunity, Omer Azili found himself alone inside the box against Vladimir Stojkovi?. Beitar's midfielder shot the ball from a close distance but the green giant was positioned well and with a good block prevented the team from the capital from taking the lead. Soon afterwards, Beitar Jerusalem began to dominating the midfield and tried taking the lead, but the Green defense managed to block the attempts of the black and yellow players. 17 minutes into the game, Alon Yefet presented his first yellow card to the green midfielder Nikola Drin?i?. The tough game played by both teams continued and the players continued making a lot of fouls that forced Alon Yefet to blow his whistle and stop the game. 26 minutes into the game Haifa had its first scoring opportunity, San Menachem sent a good ball from the left that found the head of Glynor Plet. The striker headed the ball which passed near to Kleiman's crossbar. 34 minutes into the game, Nicolas Drintzitz tried to kick from a distance of 20 meters away from the goal line just to find Beitar's goalkeeper prepared for it. No further events were recorded until halftime and after 2 minutes into overtime, referee Alon Yefet sent the players to the dressing rooms.

The second half   opened with pressure by the Greens, who tried to score the long-awaited goal. Haifa began dominating the midfield, thus causing Drafitz to make his first substitution 50 minutes into the game and replace Lidor Cohen with Dovev Gabay. 53 minutes into the game Eliran Attar found himself free 20 meters from Beitar Jerusalem's goal line, the striker advanced slightly and shot the ball over Kleiman's crossbar. 60 minutes into the game Haifa reached another scoring opportunity, Nikola Drin?i? started the event by sending a long ball toward Eliran Atar, the green striker began speeding and managed to reach the ball, eventually the player got blocked by the defense, but the ball reached Glynor Plet, who with one touch of the ball sent a strong shot that forced Boris Kleiman to jump high and send the ball off to the corner line. Soon after this event Roni Levy made his first substitution and brought in Hen Ezra in place of Itai Schechter. 67 minutes into the game, a lost ball by the Greens in midfield allowed Beitar to launch a fast counterattack, in which Rejoice was given the ball, which he liked flatly, to the hands of alerted Stojkovi?. 76 minutes into the match, the Green coach, made his second substitution and brought in the captain of the U21 team, Jabber Ata in place of the young midfielder Ismail Rian. Two minutes later, active Eliran Atar received another ball and started racing into the opponents' box. At a certain point the striker kicked the ball well, sending it just a little over the crossbar.  85 minutes into the game, Beitar Jerusalem made the scoreboard, Dovev Gabay received the ball in the box and facing Stojkovi? struck the ball to the corner and found the net. Soon after this goal Roni Levy made his third substitution and brought in Shachar Hirsh in place of Nicola Drin?i?. 90 minutes into the match the away team doubled their lead with Omar Azili finding himself free in the box and scoring the second goal. The score remained the same until the end of the game, with Beitar Jerusalem recording an important away win.
