The Greens entered this match against Hapoel Haifa in the second leg of the quarterfinals of the State Cup. The first leg finished 2:2 and the Greens looked to take control by winning the match and advancing.
 
Maccabi Haifa opened the match well, looking like a side ready to take their opportunities. The Greens had good link up play throughout the pitch in the opening fifteen minutes, but were unable to get a shot on goal. In the 22^nd minute, Mabouka sent in a ball from the right flank that found Roi Kehat. The midfielder’s touch found its way to Shlomi Azulay, who from the edge of the box, took a brilliant shot that beat Hapoel goalkeeper, Setkus. Later in the half, Omri Glazer sent a routine pass into the path of the Hapoel Haifa striker, who then found Turgemon for an easy equalizer in the 44^th minute. The half ended 1:1.
 
Before the second half started, Omri Glazer was replaced Ohad Levita. In the 52^nd minute, Demari broke into the box and sent a ball to Kehat. The ensuing shot was starting into Setkus’ hands, who put the ball out for a corner. Minutes later, Sallalich received the ball next to the goal had a good effort, but it was just over the goal. In the 76^th minute, the Greens made their second change when Awad replaced Rukavytsya. In the 80^th minute, Sallalich crossed ball onto Demari’s head. The striker gave his best effort to direct the header into the corner, but the Setkus was equal to the task, and put the ball out for another corner kick. The final change for the Greens came in the 83^rd minute when Ofir Mizrachi replaced Kostadinov. The match ended 1:1 with Hapoel Haifa advancing to the semi finals of the State Cup.
