Maccabi Haifa entered Matchday 27 of the Israeli Premier League after drawing against Hapoel Ashkelon last week. The Greens looked to take three points in this matchup and find their goal scoring form back home at Sammy Ofer.
The first chance of the match came in the 7th minute as Mabouka crossed a ball from the right. Rukavytsya got on the end of it, but couldn’t get it passed Acre goalkeeper, Straus. Quality link up play between Damari and Rukavytsya inside the box produced a strong shot from Rukvavystya, and the Australian put Haifa ahead 1:0. In the 33rd minute, Mabouka crossed in a strong ball from the right wing, but Rukavytsya couldn’t redirect it towards goal. Minutes later, Ohad Levita had to be quick off his line to keep Acre from scoring on well-placed cross, forcing the ball out for a goal kick. In the 37th minute, Sallalich hit a great free kick form twenty five meters out, but the ball was just centimeters wide of the post. In extra time, Roi Kehat had an effort from twenty meters out that was just wide of the post. Entering the break, Haifa looked dangerous and likely to add more goals in the second half.

In the 50th minute, Rukavytsya took ball from Damari and struck a ball hard into the back of the net, putting Haifa up 2:0 early in the second half of the match. Omer Demari then found himself in a good position and slipped the ball to Sallallich in the box, who put the ball in the back of the net to put Haifa up 3:0. In the 74th minute, Mohammad Awad replaced Rukavytsya. In the 82nd minute, Neta Lavi replaced Gal Alberman for the final eight minutes of the match.
